Dr Hartmut Krafft was admitted to practice in 1976 in Munich, where he had previously studied law at the Ludwig-Maximilians University.
During his initial years of practice, he continued studies of economics and received a Phd. in 1982 from the Technical University Braunschweig in the same year he founded the firm with the senior Dr. Gerstenberg, which after various changes of name is now called GR GERSTENBERG RECHTSANWÄLTE.
His practice has always involved issues relating to health products in the broadest sense (medicines, food supplements, cosmetics, medical products, etc.), in addition to his practice of general unfair competition law. Dr. Hartmut Krafft has been a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR) for ca. 30 years and was a long-standing member of GRUR's Expert Committee for Pharmaceutical and Food Law, in addition to his many years of membership in the Legal Committee of the Federal Assoc. of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (BAH) in Bonn. Today, he remains a committed advocate in the health sector, whether as member of the association "Consumer Health Care" in Berlin, on the Board of Trustees of the private University Witten / Herdecke or as a sponsor of a Chair of Pharmacology and Toxicology.
Since early 2010, Dr. Hartmut Krafft has been providing his advisory assistance as “partner of counsel”, when long-standing knowledge of the markets and players involved is required.
